Collections Committee
The Collections Committee mission is dedicated to the acquisition and preservation of examples of Ocracoke’s unique island culture and history. The Collection Committee accession decisions are based upon the revised October 7, 2005 Scope of Collection Statement guidelines.

The Development Committee's mission is to formulate and implement plans for raising major funds for the Ocracoke Preservation Society through annual campaigns, capital campaigns, planned gifts, and major gifts.

Finance Committee
The mission of the OPS Financial committee is to continually review the financial status of OPS in an effort to see that its funds are being properly managed and accurately reported and to recommend to the Executive Committee any action which this committee deems desirable or necessary regarding the financial matters of the organization.

Historic District/Land Trust Committee
The Historic District Committee mission is to educate and assist the public about matters concerning the area designated as the Ocracoke Historic District in accordance with the societies' mission of preservation and restoration and as specified by The Ocracoke Design Guidelines. The Land Trust Committee mission is to evaluate and recommend action on acquiring or accepting gifts of real estate and real property and manage these holdings in accordance with the society’s mission of preservation and restoration as guided by the Standards and Practices of the Land Trust Alliance.
